Ah, Halloween. Tis the season to be acceptably morbid and worryingly gruesome. We here at StreetPass UK have been thinking recently about the ways you could make your StreetPassing a little more, well, seasonal, and Halloween is a time ripe with creative potential when it comes to sending some more unusual Green Light messages. Below are just five appropriate examples we came up with – no tricks, just treats – and we’d love to hear if you have any other Halloween SpookPass ideas, too!

— StreetPass Garden – Pumpkin Patch —

StreetPass Garden has one particularly portentous plant; the jack-o-luna. This spooky shrub will instantly give your garden a particularly eerie air, and be sure to deceive anyone that sees it into thinking that you might just be a witch. From Pumpkin Head to Hockey Mask, StreetPass Plaza gives you plenty of opportunities for Halloween merriment. For added creep, change your Mii and add a spooky, ominous message to weird people out!

 

— Animal Crossing – House of Fright —

When it comes to creating a spooky StreetPass, Animal Crossing presents one of the best opportunities. Fill your house with freaky furniture or leave rooms sparse, with solitary items to foster a sinister atmosphere. When it comes to attire making your own blood soaked t-shirt is an easy option, but the options here are endless!

— FreakyForms Deluxe – Dr. Frankenstein —

The oft forgotten Freakyforms Deluxe is a blank canvas to express one’s twisted talent to share with the world (well, the five other people StreetPassing with Freakyforms anyway). Recreate famous monsters or explore your own Frankenstein-like abilities and create something distressingly memorable to send over StreetPass. Just keep it clean, please.

 

— Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers/Shin Megami Tensei IV – Demon Trading —

Not specific to Halloween, but these two Atlus JRPGs (the second of which is finally available in the EU, via the eShop, from today) have StreetPass features all about sharing demons and devils. Can’t get more devilish than that, literally. In Soul Hackers you use StreetPass data to feed the evolving demon Nemechi to access unique StreetPass exclusive demons. Shin Megami Tensei IV lets you upgrade demons and obtain new items. Demonic!
