Over the past few months we’re used the StreetPass UK social channels, Facebook and Twitter, to poke and pry about your main hopes in regards to Nintendo’s announcements at this year’s E3, and today, a day before we discover the truth, StreetPass UK will immortalise some of those responses.

The shouts and cries ran the expected gamut, with Zelda, Metroid, Starfox and Pokémon all receiving numerous and constant shouts. We’ve kept the Pokémon calls out, as they all appeared before the Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire reveal, but everything else is in.

So without further ado, here’s what the Nintendo fans of the UK want to see at tomorrow’s show. Who will be satisfied?

The Legend of Zelda

– Sonic Alpha (via Twitter) What we’ll probably see: LoZ: Majora’s Mask.
– Victoria Goddard (via Facebook) I know people go on about it, but Majora’s Mask remake for 3ds and sequel for WiiU.
– Joel Watson (via Facebook) I want majoras mask 3-D!!!
– Constantinos Mantzoukis (via Facebook) Zelda U.
– Adam King (via Facebook) Obviously looking forward to a wii u zelda announcement.

Zelda is always a popular choice and, given the franchise’s colourful past, it’s a series with a tendency to surprise.

Metroid

– Anthony John Boyd (via Facebook) Metroid. That is all.
– Isaac Davies (via Facebook) Metroid needs some love, it’s been far too long since the last good game.
– Joe Odran Doran (via Facebook) Every year I hope for a Metroid announcement, and every year I’m disappointed… perhaps I should abandon hope…

And the award for most dejected fan base goes to the Metroid crowd!

StarFox

– StreetPass Soton (via Twitter) how about a new starfox game that doesn’t involve dinosaurs??
– Kyle Marsh (via Facebook) A new Starfox

Fox and crew will always have their fans. Despite not having a great, original game for 17 years…

NFC Figures

– Adam King (via Facebook) What I’d really like to see is the new smash bros implement NFC assist trophies, now that would be awesome! A sandbox Nfc game covering a multitude of nintendo’s franchises new and old would be awesome too!
– Chris Barton (via Facebook) As for NFC, I’m not too sure what they can do with it. I personally don’t want to be forced to buy them and would prefer if the game they are for isn’t a main series Mario game, or Smash, Kart, whatever. Disney Infinity style might be the right thing to do, being able to drop your characters into the Mushroom Kingdom, or Hyrule, explore them like never before (obviously with some kind of story mode for each character).

We know the NFC figures are coming, but there’s still a lot of mystery around their exact purpose, and an understandable trepidation from the community…

Miscellaneous

– Sonic Alpha (via Twitter) What I’d like to see: Another Advance Wars.
– Tom Walsh (via Facebook) Yarn Yoshi
– Chris Barton (via Facebook) , I really hope they surprise us with an F-Zero game announcement for Wii U. [Also] I usually detest First-Person Shooter games, but I am hopeful that Nintendo decide to release a game similar to Metroid Prime Hunters on 3DS. The single-player was a bit linear (though could easily be improved), but the multiplayer was brilliant and that’s the kind of thing Nintendo are missing out on at the moment.
– Martyn Mercer (via Facebook) A No More Heroes sequel!
– Paul L. Russell (via Facebook) Give me a new mainline, home console Chibi-Robo featuring the cast of characters from the original Gamecube game.
– Ian Howard (via Facebook) A brand new franchise headed by Miyamoto. Never gonna happen though
– James Bowden (via Facebook) Eternal Darkness 2. The Gamepad is made for horror, and Eternal Darkness is still a hugely unique series. I’d love to see Retro Studios tackle it.

Lots of calls for a few loved, but recently ignored series’ as well as a rare shout for the new. No complaints here, thought we’re personally backing Advance Wars…

The Most Chilled Nintendo Fan

Good mentality, Martyn. Hoping not necessarily for the new, but for the fresh. A healthy E3 outlook.

The Bottom Line

– Rustinho del Pierco (via Facebook) I want to see Nintendo really pulling out the stops this year and kicking some serious arse by producing a significant number of high quality games that will make the Wii U a MUST HAVE system and not just an expensive Mario Box.

As much as it pains to say, this is the point. Nintendo have been leaning heavily on Mario for the past few years on both 3DS and Wii U, more so than normal. While it’s not particularly a bad thing it does betray the rich diversity of titles that made the N64, Gamecube, GBA and DS such intriguing systems, and Rustinho’s point adequately remembers this while summing up all of the above calls for various different titles. Nintendo needs to come to E3 tomorrow with a huge array of unique cuisines, not just those of the Mushroom Kingdom.
