Community: Dream Nintendo Cross-Overs

Written by Dalagonash

Considering how wonderful Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright turned out, and how delicious Hyrule Warriors is looking*, we decided to take to the social medias to ask you lot what your dream Nintendo cross-over titles would be, and you had plenty of ideas up your sleeves…

Below is a pooling of the more interesting or ‘out there’ concepts. Some of you just had titles, a few had full concepts. Either way this list will definately provide a lot of head scratching and hours of hypothesizing for the imaginative, and likely be responsible for a few unfathomable requests come next E3.

Feel free to discuss or add more unlikely but potentially awesome gaming cross overs in the comments below, or blert them at us over on Facebook or at the StreetPass UK Twitter.

Animal Crossing X…

Ever thought that Animal Crossing could do with more violence? These people do…

Joseph Robertson – Pokémon Crossing.

Drew O ‘Drew – Animal Crossing X Resident Evil [itchy tasty – SPUK].

Pokémon X…

Some of you want to kill ’em, some of you want them to live fuller lives. Either way, the Pocket Monsters were a popular focus.

Joseph Robertson – Pokémon Crossing.

Ed Jepson – How about PokéMon-ster Hunter?

Rosie Jen Souter – Pokemon X The Sims.

Felicity Turner – MK and Pokémon: Pokekart.

Super Mario X…

Mario is no stranger to appearing in other games, but where did you want him to go?

Joseph Robertson – Kingdom Karts [Kingdom Hearts X Mario Kart].

Jab Khan – Mario Kart and Burnout. With the takedown cam the facial expressions will be great.

Jake Tierney – Pokémon and Mario Kart.

David Christopher Rowlands – Now that mario and sonic are on the same console, and same games, a crossover with those two would be totally ace if done right.

Ange La – Mario and Sonic but not in the Olympics!

Other

These franchises were less requested, but that doesn’t make the cross-over potential any less compelling…

Tony Stephenson – Just to kill my brain…..Picross Tetris.

Victoria Goddard – Legend of Zelda crossed with Pikmin.

Akira Orrego – Minish Cap and Pikmin [a clever way of getting Link into the Pikmin world! -SPUK].

Drew O’Drew – Metroid X Monster Hunter.

Sam Brandon – Metal Gear Pikmin 6 [Six? -SPUK].

Catman Fast Man – F-Zero and Starfox are already massively referencing each other, and it would be pretty effortless to get Metroid in there too [The Big Nintendo Sci-Fi Crossover -SPUK].

Jack Taylor – F zero and GTA. You’re racing the circuit to make a living but it just doesn’t pay enough. Imagine that zero G open world [As long as we can Falcon Punch civilians at will, we’re in -SPUK].

Probably the Best Actual Suggestion

Sam Johnson – Monster Hunter and animal crossing is where it’s at. Your hunting would allow you to improve and protect your village. You can use materials gathered from monsters and the environment to decorate your furniture. Monsters might attack your village and you can fight alongside the villager teams that have trained up to fight to help you out. No dying villagers though, they’d just faint and be out of action for a time. In the nature of animal crossing you can opt to just be a villager, focus your efforts on monster hunting or both. I believe you’d start off with a small village and it’d grow. More villagers may move to your village as it becomes safer or something.

Most Obscure

Alexander Cutler – Monster Hunter X Motocross because everyone needs a Deviljho on a motorcycle.

deviljho motocross

*Decided not to mention Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem for fear of causing cries of ‘WHEN!?’
