There are plenty of Nintendo focused news-y/review-y websites out there but one in particular has shown unparalleled support for the StreetPass community. That website is the mighty Nintendo Feed.

Unparalleled if you don’t include us, of course, but we don’t fuss ourselves with the journalistic reporting side of things.

In short; we’re lazy, they aren’t.

Nintendo Feed’s overlord, Josh Moorcroft-Jones, is the man responsible for spearheading this support, and is a personal advocate of StreetPass itself, “StreetPass is undeniably one of the most unique features of the Nintendo 3DS, and at Nintendo Feed we’re huge fans of exactly how that feature unites people.

It’s really great to see that so many fans have taken it into their own hands to form little clusters up and down the country. I think StreetPass groups really represent exactly what Nintendo is about, and that’s why we’re extremely proud to support these groups and what they do for the industry.”

Nintendo Feed’s support is simple but effective. Organisers can visit the submit event page and fill in a short form. Once done, Nintendo Feed’s talent will set about creating a news article advertising the event, giving StreetPass events front page exposure before being rolled out on Nintendo Feed’s social feeds. Feed feed’s feeds to feed your event. Yum.

But why does Nintendo Feed take the time to do this? Well as Josh explains, it’s simply a desire to use his popular platform to help bring the community closer together, “I’ve been involved with a number of StreetPass groups for a while now, and I know how many people take the time to attend and enjoy these events. However, I then think about the Nintendo community as a whole and the people who are potentially unaware of these groups.

Myself and [other] team members also noticed a complete arrogance in terms of news outlets not promoting these fantastic events, which is why we took the decision for Nintendo Feed to take the lead and bridge the gap between StreetPass groups and the specialist Nintendo press.”

As is clear, Nintendo Feed are passionate advocates of the wonderful Nintendo community. They show this not only in their StreetPass support, but also through their own events like their 2013 Christmas’ charity drive, during which they raised money for GamesAid through, amongst other things, community sourced t-shirt designs.
